Hello, my name is Jorge Rodriguez. Like many executive assistants, I am always striving to
create a more efficient way of managing everyday tasks in the workplace. The company I work
for has many moving parts, and it is crucial to keep up with numerous important dates. Many of
my key responsibilities are managing a fleet of vehicles, business license registrations, property
taxes, and employee birthdays which involves staying on top of annual or quarterly deadlines.
I looked online for various websites and applications that could help streamline this process.
However, none of the solutions I found truly met my needs. What I was looking for was simple: a
website where I could enter vehicle information and registration expiration dates, and receive
email reminders when renewals were due. Unfortunately, none of the existing tools offered this
specific functionality.
As Plato famously said, “necessity is the mother of invention.” This sentiment resonated deeply
with me as I realized the solution I needed didn’t exist yet. So, I decided to take matters into my
own hands. Drawing on my understanding of the challenges faced by executive assistants and
my desire for a straightforward, effective tool, I set out to design and implement a task
management website. Thus, Gerato was born.
